Invictus School offers an internationally recognised primary school program at our Tseung Kwan O campus. Our campus empowers students to learn in both traditional and non-traditional settings, providing a holistic education delivered by our skilled educators. Learning should be fun and we seek to provide an enjoyable and enriching experience that allows them to deepen their understanding of the world and develop a lifelong love for learning. Tseung Kwan O Campus

Invictus Primary School is located in the new Monterey waterside development in Tseung Kwan O, with the commercial areas of Kowloon East in one direction, and the mountains, islands, and beaches of Sai Kung and Clearwater Bay in the other. We are a short walk or minibus ride from Tseung Kwan O MTR station, providing an easy and reliable link to the rest of Hong Kong.

Cambridge Primary Curriculum in Invictus

Invictus Hong Kong (Primary) offers Cambridge Primary Curriculum, to provide a smoother transition from primary to secondary school. Through a spiral curriculum for each subject, each stage builds on the previous one, so your child will feel confident that they are ready for the next step as they progress through the primary years. The Cambridge Primary curriculum provides quality international education and sets a strong foundation for future learning in secondary school as students progress onto the Cambridge Secondary International Curriculum or the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme.

Student-centric approach: Students are at the heart of education and at Invictus Hong Kong (Primary), we take a student-centric approach in everything we do to nurture students with joy in learning. Our students are engaged during lessons with a wide range of activities such as hands-on learning activities, conducting experiments, role playing and collaborative learning. These spark students’ curiosity and awareness of application of concepts taught to the real world. Lessons go beyond the classroom too with experiential learning through learning out of classroom (LOTC) activities. 

Adaptable curriculum: Invictus Hong Kong (Primary) offer a unique Mathematics curriculum. Our Mathematics curriculum is based on the CambridgePrimary curriculum, integrated with Singapore Mathematics approach and framework. Singapore Mathematics approach focuses on problem-solving and critical thinking due to its emphasis on the understanding of mathematical concepts rather than rote memorisation. 

A global learner in a local context: Cambridge Primary curriculum helps students discover new abilities and a wider world, nurture a broad outlook and help your child to understand their own culture, community and identity as well as those of others in different parts of the world. 

A flexible bilingual approach: Invictus Hong Kong (Primary) offer the Hong Kong School-based Chinese Language Curriculum. We offer Chinese as a first language and as a second language, developing your child to be effectively bilingual. We also offer Chinese Culture as a subject for students to experience and immerse in Chinese culture.  

A balanced and holistic education: Invictus Hong Kong (Primary) supports your child’s development with a focus on personal, social and emotional development to complement the core curriculum. In Invictus Hong Kong (Primary), beyond building competency in core subjects, we also develop the child holistically in terms of social emotional learning, physical, personal well-being, creativity, and morals through subjects like Interdisciplinary Project Work (IPW), Personal, Social and Values Education (PSVE), Design Thinking, Digital Literacy, Music, Art, Computing, Physical Education. Students can also participate in a wide range of Extra-curricular Activities such football, Chinese drum, Entrepreneur Club, Digital Art, Speech and Drama and Choir. 


Assessment

Fand continuous assessment will be used for the assessment of your child’s learning and understanding of the curriculum at Invictus School. Through assessments for competency, teachers can identify areas where students need more help and to understand their strengths. Range of assessment tools in Invictus throughout the school year:
  • Topical tests
  • Teacher observations
  • Written assignments for class work and other project works
With these meaningful assessment tools, teachers can monitor your child’s progress and chart their learning journey in Invictus.


Parental Involvement

Parents are our valued partners in education. An ongoing partnership between home and school is vital to support growth and learning throughout the school years. There are two opportunities each academic year for parent / teacher / student conferences to discuss progress and set targets for learning. We also have two written reports, one at mid-year and one at the end of the school year. Please note that we will always be keen to meet with parents to discuss important issues, whenever they arise.

The Cambridge international curriculum sets a global standard for education and is recognised by universities and employers worldwide. Our curriculum is flexible, challenging, and inspiring, culturally sensitive yet international in approach.
