In Mr Reid Hartzell’s classroom, students are encouraged to be independent learners, critical thinkers, and to take pride in their work. Mr Hartzell is a passionate teacher with a well-rounded academic background. He has 9 years of classroom teaching experience plus many more working experiences with children outside the classroom. Mr Hartzell strives to promote encouraging and meaningful learning environments through engaging students with different learning styles and working to meet the diverse needs of the students in his care. In addition to his studies and professional education experience, Mr Hartzell was a competitive swimmer for 17 years and has held swimming instructor and coaching positions at various levels of swimming. As a PE teacher, Mr Hartzell works actively with his students to foster a love for life-long fitness and athletics. Outside the classroom, he is involved in a variety of community athletics groups like running, swimming, and general fitness.
